Winter Camp Meeting was a celebration of 30 years in ministry for Pastors Rodney and Adonica Howard-Browne. This was very different from the last camp meeting. I learn that when you commit your life to God and doing his will he will keep you. There are going to be tough times but if you keep your eyes on Him he will bring you through. This was a celebration of God’s grace on the lives of two people who made a life commitment to serve and worship God no matter what came their way. I am a fairly new member at the River and I’ve heard many of Pastors Rodney and Adonicia’s testimonies of the rough times and the good times but in all they kept their eyes on the prize, Jesus Christ. How they came to America with three young children and vey little money, totally dependent on God. God honored their faith and obedience to Him when he said go. Thirty years later they are still living for God and honoring Him with their lives. I saw the greetings and well wishes they received from other ministries around the world and there was one common theme. How they kept God as their main focus and were steadfast in their commitment to Him. Today the power and anointing of God is still strong and operating in their lives. That is something we do not see very much of in the ministry today. This is something relegated to the great men and women of God like Katherine Kulhman and Lester Sumrall But God is no respecter of person. If you stay committed to Him he will be committed to you. I learn more than anything to be faithful to God and to stay committed and connected to Him always and I too can one day celebrate many years in the ministry.
Him if he were Jewish. He was, when I told him the Torah says all man have sinned, he really agreed with that. I told him I was very honored to bring him good news because Jesus said for us to go to the Jew first. I remembered that it is Passover week and told him how the blood of sacrifice pointed to Jesus the Messiah. He said that was the first time he had ever heard that. He let me led him in the prayer to receive Jesus.
